Lucas Crandles and Timothy Nash are directors, writers and creators of content across multiple platforms, including film, television, and digitally distributed work. Forming dhp in 2007, the pair have created a diverse range of projects, including animated comedy 'Wentworth & Buxbury' (BEST WRITING – 2008 New York Television Festival; BEST ANIMATION – 2009 Independent Television Festival, Los Angeles), romantic comedy webseries 'Matchbreaker', and live-action comedy 'The Weatherman', which recently raised $73,975 of funding towards a full first series of the show, currently in production. They have met with several U.S. Producers to discuss their work, such as Sony International, Dreamworks and Fox. The pair have also worked professionally on several Australian television productions, including as editors on the Nine Network's 'Top Gear Australia', editors/videographers on the ABC's Gruen Transfer and Gruen Planet, and as producers/editors/videographers on MTV Australia's first local production, 'Freshwater Blue'. They are firm believers in the power of New Media to reach audiences across the world and are continuing to develop projects with digital distribution in mind.
Thomas Higgins became a director of dhp in 2011, having collaborated on many dhp works from 2009 onwards. Prior to joining dhp, Tom was a journalism graduate from Monash University, where he completed a thesis on alternative media and won the prestigious honours award for the highest thesis mark during his post graduate study. Also an accomplished producer in his own right, Tom's passion is writing, and he has several scripts in the works soon to see the light of day at dhp.
As a whole, dhp prides itself on creating high-quality film and video content, completing all stages of production in-house, from development, to shooting, to post. We've had extensive experience in tackling both the complex studio production and the intimate, independent project, all while keeping costs to a minimum. Our in-house approach cuts down on external expenses and allows us to run any production simply, efficiently, and above all, effectively.
