Cast

Robert Grubb

Truly an icon in the world of Australian Film and Television, Robert has appeared in countless Australian productions for the past 30 years, ranging from Peter Weir's Gallipoli to his revered role as Dr Geoffrey Standish in the hit TV series Flying Doctors. More recently he has had lead roles in major stage musical productions, including Mama Mia and We Will Rock You. How fortunate it is for us then, that Robert happens to be Hayden's father! He has been incredibly supportive and helpful, not only playing lead roles in two of our films, but providing us with his invaluable advice from his years of acting experience.

Nicholas Gell

Nicholas has had a gift for acting for as long as Lucas and Hayden have known him. In fact, he was the lead actor in the school production of Death of a Salesman (a play all three of them acted in, in fact). He'd likely be in more DHP films, were he not constantly traveling the world.

DHP Film Contributions:

  • Campsite (Lead Actor)

Robert Nakos

Like Nicholas, Rob had been acting since his school days and leapt at the opportunity to play the dynamic part of Ryan in Campsite. He brought a great deal of menace to the role and spent weeks prior to production preparing for his role. Contrary to how he appears in the film, Rob is in fact a very laid-back and friendly guy.

DHP Film Contributions:

  • Campsite (Lead Actor)

Ashley Weidner

A chance meeting (ironically) at a local pub lead to Ashley being cast as the lead role of Julian for The Window. Ashley works predominantly as a stage actor with children and has many years of experience. Renowned for bringing a laugh to any film set he steps upon!

DHP Film Contributions:

  • The Window (Lead Actor)

Paul Reichstein

Lucas saw Paul in a great short film called The Missive at a film festival where Black Button was screened. Lucas had a chat with the film's producer and got Paul's contact details, and the rest is history. Paul has also appeared on stage, and in television series Macleod's Daughters.

DHP Film Contributions:

  • The Window (Actor)

Peter Lesley

DHP were introduced to Peter through Ashley at a film screening night. He played the important role of the Bartender in The Window. Peter works as both an actor and producer in the Australian film industry and is known for his particularly wicked sense of humour.
