Thomas Higgins
A graduate of Monash Arts, specialising in writing and journalism, Tom has come on board team Dark Heart as a script consultant and editor. His obvious talents have already helped to improve the level of work being produced, and he has hinted that he is interested in writing a script of his own.
DHP film contributions:
- of land and bounty (script editor)
David Illingworth
Since an early age, David has a knack for all things technical and is always the first to be called the moment a computer breaks down or hardware needs fixing. He has worked tirelessly on all of the DHP projects as a 'Jack of All Trades'; Key Grip, Sound Recordist, Webmaster and more. If, as the tale goes, 'Grip' stands for 'General Roustabout In Production', David has certainly earned the title. He hopes to work in the industry as a Grip in the future.
DHP Film Contributions:
- Black Button (Key Grip)
- Campsite (Sound Recordist, Key Grip)
- The Window (Key Grip)
Allan Crandles
Lucas' father and largely responsible for Lucas' interest in film from an early age, Allan has been a regular contributor to DHP. Aside from offering invaluable advice on every step of the filmmaking process, Allan also penned the original story for Campsite.
DHP Film Contributions:
- Black Button (Special Thanks)
- Campsite (Original Story)
- The Window (Special Thanks)
Brian Walsh
Brian is a leading psychologist in Melbourne and is a family friend of Lucas. He's been involved with DHP from the start thanks to his enthusiasm for film and his skills behind the camera. He has also provided a lot of behind the scenes help, and he and his wife Meredith Fuller (another prominent psychologist) have provided great feedback on every DHP script before production has begun.
DHP Film Contributions:
- Black Button (Cinematographer)
- Campsite (Cinematographer)
- The Window (Special Thanks)
Sarah Freeman
A professional Make Up Artist, Sarah joined the DHP team for The Window where she did a fantastic job under significant time pressure. Like Nick, we're sure we'll see a lot more of her too.
DHP Film Contributions:
- The Window (Make Up Artist)
Timothy Nash
When he's not studying Engineering and Law at the University of Melbourne, Timothy spends his every spare moment working on creative endeavours in an effort to avoid ever having a 9-5 job. He worked tirelessly on The Window in post-production, and is also one of the writers for the clandestine DHP television comedy pilot/series in the making, Wentworth and Buxbury.
DHP Film Contributions:
- The Window (Assistant Producer, Assistant Editor)
Nick Williams
A new member of the DHP team and close friend of both Lucas and Hayden, Nick decided he'd put his business training to good use by producing The Window. We're sure to be seeing a lot more of him.
DHP Film Contributions:
- The Window (Producer)
Raphael Duprez
Lucas had been scouring the internet for IDM (his favourite musical style) when he stumbled across an IDM artist known as Darkened Escape, based in Paris. His free-to-download album was simply amazing, and shortly after Lucas got in touch with the man behind the music - Raphael Duprez. Raph and Lucas have since been great friends. Music from his album became the soundtrack for Campsite and Raph went on to compose the soundtrack specifically for The Window.
DHP Film Contributions:
- Campsite (Composer)
- The Window (Composer)
Ed Paxton
An architect in the making, Ed also has an incredibly under-appreciated musical talent. He composed the score for Black Button on his home keyboard! He can also be seen as an extra at the table in The Window.
DHP Film Contributions:
- Black Button (Composer)
- The Window (Extra)
Eddie Beyrouthy
Just when we thought we'd have to pull the plug on The Window when our DoP pulled out, Eddie Beyrouthy and Showtime Studios came to the rescue. A very talented cinematographer and a pleasure to work with.
